Established in 2011

Gauteng Sanathan Mandir was established from humble beginnings in 2011 by Naresh Kumar Lalmund. His vision for our Mandir saw a community in Alberton rallying through tough times, celebrating major religious festivals under tents, in garages, and rented spaces, all under the spiritual guidance of co-founder, Pundit Shreenic Singh.

Dedication to Faith

Despite the challenges of the Covid pandemic, which halted all activities, our resilient spirit led us to resume hosting vibrant festivals from September 2021, with divine grace and renewed fervour Our journey through adversity showcases a profound dedication to faith.


Our founders and members have turned every obstacle into an opportunity, rekindling the awareness and practice of Sanathan Dharma.


Our mission and vision have since strengthened and serves to uplift, promote, and serve Sanathan Dharma through the practice of truthfulness; mercy; austerity; cleanliness; charity, and spiritual education.

    The members of Gauteng Sanathan Mandir have ventured into the ‘Sponsor A Brick’ Initiative as a form of fundraising. It entails the purchase of bricks at a cost of R50 each, which will ultimately be used to build our Mandir. Our target is to obtain 10 000 bricks. Our hope and aim is for our initiative to reach corporates and businesses who would be willing to contribute towards our project, to achieve our goal of one day building our very own Mandir.
